Osteopathy in Richmond
A whole-body approach to treating pain, injury and movement dysfunction.
Osteopathy at Kinematics
Our Osteopaths take a whole-body approach to treatment, combining hands-on therapy with personalised rehabilitation to help reduce pain, restore movement and improve your quality of life.
Rather than simply treating where it hurts, we look beyond your symptoms to identify the underlying factors contributing to your pain, tailoring your care to your body, lifestyle and goals.
Whether you’re managing persistent pain, recovering from an injury or looking to move with greater confidence, we’re here to help you achieve lasting results.
What do Osteos Treat?
Our Osteopaths commonly help people with:
- Persistent or recurring pain
- Neck and back pain (including sciatica)
- Shoulder, hip, knee and ankle pain
- Headaches, migraines and jaw (TMJ) pain
- Sports, gym and running injuries
- Tendon pain, muscle strains and joint sprains
- Postural and workplace-related aches
- Pregnancy-related musculoskeletal pain
- Hollistic body systems approach (neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine)
Whether your pain started yesterday or has been lingering for years, we’ll work with you to understand why it’s happening and create a plan to help you recover.
What to Expect at Your First Osteopathy Appointment?
Your initial Osteopathy appointment is designed to understand not only where your pain is, but why it’s there.
During your appointment we’ll:
- Discuss your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle and goals.
- Complete a comprehensive movement and physical assessment.
- Provide hands-on treatment where appropriate.
- Explain what’s contributing to your pain and develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to your goals.
- Give you practical advice and exercises to support your recovery and help prevent future injuries.
You’ll leave your appointment with a clear understanding of your condition and a plan for moving forward.

Both professions diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions. Osteopaths typically place a greater emphasis on whole-body assessment and hands-on treatment, while Physiotherapists often have a larger focus on exercise rehabilitation. At Kinematics, our practitioners work together to ensure you receive the most appropriate care.
This depends on your condition, goals and how long you've been experiencing symptoms. Your practitioner will discuss an individual treatment plan after your assessment.
