Pep Karalus
Founder, Podiatric Biomechanist + Osteopath
Pep Karalus
Pep is a dually qualified Podiatric Biomechanist and Osteopath, and the most senior clinician at Kinematics. His passion for biomechanics was forged through experience—after sustaining multiple injuries during his high-level rugby career, he recognised the need for a more integrated, whole-body approach to manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
Pep has a particular clinical interest in how ground reaction forces through the foot influence full-body biomechanics and contribute to injury risk. This curiosity began during his Health Science studies in New Zealand, where a biomechanics placement sparked a deep fascination with human movement. He went on to complete a degree in Podiatry, before broadening his skillset with high-performance and strength & conditioning certifications, and later, a Master of Osteopathy at Victoria University.
At Kinematics, Pep champions a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach—believing that the true cause of pain is rarely isolated to a single area. He has worked extensively with elite athletes across rugby, athletics, basketball, cricket, and netball, helping them stay injury-free and optimise performance. Now based in Melbourne, Pep is driven to make this elite level of care accessible to all.
Looking ahead, Pep is passionate about building a legacy through developing the next generation of practitioners—growing the Kinematics team, expanding access to high-quality care, and sharing his expertise through biomechanics workshops and online education that reflect Kinematics’ holistic approach to movement and recovery.
Appointment availability with Pep is often limited, so we recommend booking ahead and to get in touch if you’d like to go on his waitlist. Pep is generally at Kinematics on Monday to Saturday.
