Susan Liu
Physiotherapist + Strength + Pilates + Women's Health
Susan Liu
Susan graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from The University of Melbourne and has since been working in the private practice setting treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and women’s health conditions.
Her love of physiotherapy originated from her active upbringing and engagement in competitive sports from a young age. Through these avenues, Susan developed a fascination for how the body functions and its movement patterns. Thus, leading to her now career in Physiotherapy.
At Kinematics, Susan likes to treat with a combination of manual therapy and resistance training to achieve the best outcome for her patients. Her manual techniques include soft tissue release, dry needling, and joint mobilisation. However, her passion lies within promoting movement and function in her patients through the utilisation of therapeutic exercise such as Clinical Pilates +/or functional gym training to achieve their goals.
She has also gone on to do further study in women’s health and has completed her Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from The University of Melbourne. Combined with her keen interest in hip, pelvis and knee conditions, Susan is able to treat a wide range of women’s health conditions including complex pain, pre- and post-natal care, pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence issues.
Outside of the clinic, Susan loves to remain active by being outdoors, going to the gym and playing badminton on the weekends. She is also an avid Formula 1 fan and has a goal of attending at least one Formula 1 race from each continent (but of course, the more the better!). Susan is also a big foodie and loves looking for new places to eat and new recipes to cook and bake.
Susan is at Kinematics on Monday to Thursday.
