Have you developed a pregnancy waddle?

Have you developed a pregnancy waddle?

While postural changes to the pelvis, rib cage and upper body span across the 9 months, there is a significant change in the mothers centre of gravity (as the belly grows), especially in the third trimester.

The anterior shift in centre of gravity impacts glute and adductor function as well as how our feet make contact with the ground.

Improving mid foot mobility with the use of a dowel (in conjunction with releasing the right muscles around the pelvis) can help improve walking mechanics, even in the later stages of pregnancy!

Give this exercise a go – even if you’re not pregnant you’ll likely benefit from some extra mobility through your feet.
