Osteopath

Nick Gubbels

Nick found his way to Osteopathy after suffering a myriad of injuries playing basketball and football in his youth, and therefore understands what it means to have a trusted health professional alongside you as you navigate your path to a fullrecovery.

Nick spent two years as the head athletic trainer for a Division 1 football club, resulting in hands-on experience with acute injuries in real time as they happen. Nick’s growing interest in rehabilitation of acute injuries led him to his current undertaking of a certificate in Applied Functional Science, equipping him with a limitless number of corrective exercise variations to enhance the lives of his clients.

As an Osteopath, Nick believes in working in unison with his patients to tailor each treatment and management plan to their lifestyle and goals. Nick’s treatments incorporate a multitude of myofascial movement release, in conjunction with a comprehensive range of osteopathic techniques including soft tissue massage, spinal manipulation and joint mobilisation, to improve the stiffness and tenderness of muscles and joints.

Nick has a special interest in the treatment of the neck and all forms of headache, stimulated by years of suffering migraines in his youth.

Outside of the treatment room you will find him lifting weights or with his eyes glued to the TV watching all forms of sport, especially his beloved Collingwood Magpies and Miami Heat. Nick has also recently started teaching himself to play the bass guitar and read sheet music, born from his intense love of music.

Nick is at Kinematics on Tuesday to Friday.
