Amelia Dentesano
Physiotherapist + Pilates
Amelia Dentesano
Amelia studied a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Monash University and a Doctor of Physiotherapy from The University of Melbourne. Since graduating, she has gained experience in private practice, working with a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.
Amelia’s passion for physiotherapy stems from her active upbringing and personal experiences as a patient, which sparked her curiosity about the intricacies of the human body and a lifelong commitment to learning.
She works closely with her clients to create tailored treatment plans that focus on both immediate concerns and long-term health and wellbeing. By combining hands-on therapy with personalised exercises, Amelia empowers her clients to achieve better function and confidence in their recovery. She has a special interest in treating conditions involving the spine, pelvis, hip, and knee.
In addition to her physiotherapy expertise, Amelia is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor with advanced training in pre + post-natal, and pelvic pain populations. She integrates these skills into her practice to help clients improve movement patterns, strength, and overall wellbeing. Amelia is passionate about supporting clients in embracing movement in a way that aligns with their individual goals and lifestyles.
When she’s not at the clinic, Amelia enjoys attending Pilates classes and exploring Melbourne’s hiking and running trails. She’s also a cafe enthusiast, always searching for the city’s best latte and banana bread.
Amelia is at Kinematics Monday to Thursday and Saturdays.
