Jay is one of our most experienced physio and exercise rehab practitioners at Kinematics, with over 10 years in the field.

After graduating from the University of Otago, Jay spent her first five years as a physio travelling nationally and internationally with elite athletes in rugby union and basketball. Recognising the need to understand from the beginning to the very end, Jay went on to complete postgraduate study in strength and conditioning.

The past five years she has spent refining her expertise in biomechanics and exercise rehab, with the ultimate focus of getting her clients pain free, moving better, and enhancing their performance.

A recent career highlight for Jay was being able to travel around Australia with NBA player Patty Mills to help look after his body ahead of returning to the states for his next season.

After a busy 12+ months raising her beautiful girl Mia (and playing professional basketball in NZ!) Jay is back from maternity leave. Going through her own journey of pregnancy and returning to elite sport post-partum has given Jay an even greater interest in Women’s Health. Jay was able to trial her programming for pregnancy and return-to-exercise on herself to further refine and provide an even better service for her mums and mums-to-be.

Jay is excited by the opportunity to bring her passion and experience to Kinematics. Her knowledge, energy and taste in music make her the perfect fit for our K crew.

Jay is at K2 on Tuesdays, Thursdays + Saturdays.
