Growing up, Ashby was heavily involved in numerous sporting teams including AFL, cricket, and volleyball. For the last two years, he has represented Victoria in open men’s volleyball in the Australian Volleyball League.
This first hand exposure to the health and fitness industry, motivated Ashby to begin a career in optimising people’s well being and performance.
Ashby graduated from RMIT with a double degree in Health Science and Applied Science in the field of Osteopathy.
He is passionate about helping his clients overcome their injuries in order to achieve their goals, no matter how big or small. Ashby enjoys treating patients of all ages and fitness levels with a wide variety of conditions including, repetitives train injuries, postural compensations and sporting injuries.
At Kinematics Strength + Recovery, Ashby combines manual therapy with gym-based strength and rehabilitation exercises to provide an end-to-end service for his clients. He uses a variety of hands-on techniques including soft tissue, dry needling and joint manipulation.
Alongside his work at Kinematics, he currently works alongside various athletes as their athletic performance coach. He has worked with various local AFL and netball clubs, as well as being involved on the medical team for Volleyball Victoria.
In his spare time, Ashby enjoys getting down to the beach for a surf, and loves having a kick of the footy.
