Blake West

Blake is a passionate strength + conditioning coach who has a love for sport and improving human movement and performance. A proud Kiwi, Blake began his journey in Christchurch where he completed a Bachelor of Sports Coaching.

Since graduating, he has spent the last 6 years working as a strength + conditioning coach in Rugby Union. Melbourne is now home for Blake, and he looks forward to applying his experience within the diverse team at Kinematics.

Blake has a particular interest in mid to late-stage rehab, improving sports performance, and enhancing the overall quality of life. When training with Blake at Kinematics, he will focus on educating you throughout your strength + recovery journey, while working towards your specific goals.

Outside of Kinematics, Blake works as a strength + conditioning coach with the Melbourne Rebels and Melbourne Rugby Club. He loves the challenge of working to enhance individual athletic ability and help translate this to improved on-field performance.

Blake loves all things sport and the outdoors. When he’s not in the gym, you’ll find Blake down at the beach, surfing or getting amongst nature. Plus of course a cheeky beer or two on the weekend. Everything in moderation, right?

Blake is at K2 on Mondays + Saturdays and leads both 1:1 and 1:4 Strength + Conditioning sessions.
